This is an old Iranian Tebriz fine handmade carpet. Made by wool on cotton. It's all vegetable dyes with special color combinations. This is a extra ordinary carpet .Border of the carpet has horoscope design,inside has farm life and hunting picture. Hereke This is a very famous Turkish Hereke carpet. It's made from wool on cotton combination. They are very high density knots and will last a lifetime. These particular carpets pictured are rare examples of usage of natural vegetable dye colors. Their pattern is called Sivas Star. Blue symbolizes royalty, red of richness and elegance and green of heaven. The production of Hereke carpets is dwindling due to lack of skilled resource and high cost. Hereke is the last Ottoman carpet, it is truly an investment for every home.
